Submit ManuscriptGeneral Information:
The Duke Environmental Law & Policy Forum (DELPF) publishes two issues per year featuring original scholarship on environmental law and policy matters. DELPF welcomes submissions from professors and practitioners.
Timing:
DELPF is currently accepting submissions for consideration in our 2026-2027 publications. Please submit manuscripts as early as possible. Offers of publication are made on a rolling basis. Most decisions will be made by August.
Guidelines:
- Footnotes must conform with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed.). Authors should be prepared to provide cited sources upon request.
- Provision of an abstract and conformity with the 16th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style is preferred, but not required.
Expedited Reviews:
DELPF will make every effort to expedite review in light of deadlines imposed by other journal(s) that have accepted a piece. Please submit expedite requests via Scholastica.
Please provide the following information in your correspondence:
Author name;
Contact information [phone and email];
Article title;
Titles of the journal(s) that have accepted the article; and
The deadlines those journal(s) have imposed.
Selection Process:
DELPF’s Article Editors carefully review each submission and, upon their recommendation, the article selection committee makes a final decision regarding publication. Once an article is selected, the Editor-in-Chief contacts the author with a contract and further information on the publication process.
We look forward to reviewing your submissions!
